Project Overview

This project is a conceptual Instagram carousel campaign developed for Visit Qatar, positioning Old Doha as a culturally rich and visually immersive destination.


The content guides viewers through key locations including the National Museum of Qatar, Msheireb Downtown, and Souq Waqif, using a blend of documentary-style and editorial imagery to construct a cohesive visual narrative.


The campaign moves away from traditional landmark-focused tourism content, instead presenting Old Doha as an experience shaped by mood, rhythm and everyday detail.


Strategic Approach

The campaign is designed to increase organic reach and discoverability by leveraging high-quality, visually distinctive content optimized for Instagram’s Explore page.


The carousel format is used to encourage deeper engagement through sequential storytelling, increasing dwell time, saves, and shares.


Each slide is structured to function both independently and as part of a broader narrative, balancing visual intrigue with cultural context to sustain audience attention.


Objective of the Project

To increase discoverability and engagement on Instagram through visually compelling, editorial-style content designed to drive saves, shares, and swipe-through behaviour, while positioning Old Doha as a culturally immersive destination.

Content Strategy & Distribution

Primary Platform: InstagramFormat: Carousel (8–10 slides)

The content is structured to:

  • Increase saves and shares

  • Improve Explore page visibility

  • Encourage swipe-through behavior


Execution focuses on a strong visual hook in the first slide, followed by a seamless narrative flow across the carousel to maintain engagement.
